Venice, Italy: FEEM-CMMC Seminar on “Climate change and tropical cyclones: past and future”
Meno di un minuto
Is global climate change upon us? Indeed, a vast majority of scientists agree that the global warming of the past century has been anthropogenically forced and will continue in earnest if the CO2 rise remains unabated. Yet, large uncertainties remain on the magnitude, regional patterns and sea level rise, and on the response of extreme weather events, including tropical cyclones, to future warming. Prof. Alexey Fedorov (Yale University) during his seminar at FEEM premises in Venice, will show how the studies on the climate of the past can help us understand today and tomorrow’s effects of global warming on the climate, and particularly on the behaviour and frequency of tropical cyclones.
