FEEM key research findings on the stability of international climate coalitions are illustrated in an article recently published by the prestigious journal Nature. A few weeks ahead of Copenhagen, where world governments will meet to agree on a future climate deal, the article explores how game theory can be used to provide insights on which strategies are most likely to succeed in future climate negotiations.

 

Hopes are fading that a strong treaty will emerge from next month’s negotiations in Copenhagen. Researchers who study cooperation, though, aren’t surprised. Mason Inman reports.
