After the summer break, the FEEM weekly seminar series continues with a talk on "The Effects of Malaria on Education: Evidence from the Ethiopian Highlands" by Alfredo Burlando, University of Oregon.
Alfredo Burlando will present his research on the estimated benefits of malaria reduction in Africa, specifically its impact on educational attainment, based on a survey of rural households in over 1,000 villages in the Ethiopian Highlands. Survey data are combined with satellite-derived environmental data.
