Human-induced temperature increase is amplified in the Arctic, as well as its effects on the ice cover. With the aid of an Arctic "death spiral”, Prof. Peter Wadhams, oceanographer and glaciologist at Cambridge University, discusses scientific evidence and his personal experience of changes in the Arctic in the last decades.

Prof. Wadhams gives an overview of the impacts of Global Warming on ice in the Arctic. He summarises in this short interview some of the impressive issues tackled during the International Workshop on "The Climate Challenge in the Arctic. Environmental impacts, new opportunities and future policy options" held on May 6th 2013 in Venice, organised by the International Center for Climate Governance.
