International Workshop on “Foreign Direct Investment and Climate Change: New Research Directions”
Climate finance remains crucial to address the climate challenge, and Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) will necessarily play a pivotal role in generating adequate resources for mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
New research directions in this area will indeed be the focus of the international workshop organized by the International Center for Climate Governance – a joint initiative of FEEM and the Fondazione Giorgio Cini – in cooperation with the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Change, that will be held on October 7-8, 2011 in Venice. Experts from the academic and international policy community will discuss and assess the recent evolution of research on FDI and climate change, identifying the scope for future research efforts.
