Over the last decade, concerns about global warming, local air quality, and energy security have led to a plethora of measures but little attention has been paid to whether these policy efforts work together or at cross purposes.
Carolyne Fischer from RFF presents updates of the Fischer and Newell model, ranging from the distinction between conventional renewable energy sources and advanced technologies, a richer representation of electricity demand over time, demand-side policies for improving efficiency to the inclusion of imperfections in the demand for energy efficiency, as well as in the market for innovation.
