Thomas Lontzek from the University of Zurich discusses an extension of the Nordhaus DICE2007 model, which incorporates beliefs about the uncertain economic impact of possible climate tipping events. The research shows that the uncertainty associated with anthropogenic climate change implies carbon taxes much higher than the ones indicated by deterministic models.
