Energy and related policies will be the focus of 12th IAEE European Energy Conference: "Energy Challenge and Environmental Sustainability" at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. The event is organized by the Italian Association of Energy Economists (AIEE) in cooperation with FEEM and Ca’ Foscari University and will be held on September 9-12, 2012.

The Conference will address the great global changes taking place nowadays in the energy sector and their related environmental implications such as greenhouse gas emissions, and the most topical issues ranging from the development of renewable energy sources to nuclear, till fossil fuels, as well as the economic, environmental and sustainability issues related to the energy cycle.

Carlo Carraro, president of Ca ‘Foscari University and Climate Change and Sustainable Development Programme Coordinator at FEEM is the Scientific Coordinator of the conference. The opening address  will be given by the Italian Minister of the Environment Corrado Clini.
