Reshaping the Energy Industry: Action for Transition

 Call for Ideas – Mediterranean Region


The Call is launched by the OMC, in co-operation with FEEM and Union for the Mediterranean, the intergovernmental Euro-Mediterranean organisation which brings together all countries of the European Union and 16 countries of the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean, and whose aim is to enhance regional cooperation, dialogue and the implementation of projects and initiatives with tangible impact on citizens, with an emphasis on young people and women, in order to address the three strategic objectives of the region: stability, human development and integration.

The call is addressed to young researchers born in or after the year 1982 of nationality and citizenship of one of the following countries belonging to the Mediterranean Area: Algeria, Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Southern Italy, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, in possession of a Master’s Degree and who have developed a well-defined project idea or a project either at a university, a university spin-off, or a research institute of this Mediterranean Area addressing one of the themes covered by the following Technical Streams: Operational Excellence, Technologies, Carbon Neutrality and Circular Economy.

The winners will be invited to present their projects at the Innovation Room that will be held on May 25th, 2023 during the OMC – MED Energy Conference in Ravenna


All visa, travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the OMC organisation
