On October 1-3, ISPI and the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the University of Pennsylvania – in partnership with FEEM – will organize the 2nd Global Think Tank Summit and 3rd European Think Tank Summit in Milan at Palazzo Clerici, ISPI premises,  and at the Expo site. The Global Think Tank Summit will explore ways through which think tanks can better engage civil society and policymakers/IGOs, redefine their strategies and mobilise resources to adapt to the current global political and economic challenges: fighting terrorism and enhancing regional and global security, rebalancing global governance, promoting economic growth and development, also in view of the forthcoming Sustainable Development Goals.

On 3 October, the European Think Tank Summit will focus on specific challenges for European Think Tanks after the crisis and on topical regional issues including a more coherent EU foreign policy towards Eastern and Southern neighbors and a much-needed boost for jobs, growth and investment.

Over 90 think tanks from Europe and all over the world are expected to participate.Sen. Mario Monti, former Italian Prime Minister and European Commissioner, will give a keynote speech.

The event is closed-door and by invitation only.
