Previous research has shown that revealing players’ identities increases cooperation in public goods games. In this paper we experimentally investigate whether this finding holds true when decisions are made by teams rather than individuals. The results show that, while teams contribute more to the public good than individuals, their contributions do not increase when the teams’ identities are revealed.
