Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, Università per Stranieri di Perugia and Sustainable Development Goals Centre for Africa (SDGC/A) organize the Fall School “Global Diplomacy for Energy Transition in Africa” (GlobDETA), a study programme dedicated to students, graduates and young professionals and based on the energy transition in Africa.

The study programme will be organized entirely on-line and in English language and it will take place from the 10th to 30th September 2020. The programme will provide 21 hours lessons by academics and experts on the main and rising political, economic, energy themes connected to Africa.

80 people from all over the world will participate to the Fall Scholl and among them there is a large part of African students and professionals. Thanks to the support of the promoting institutions, the participation is completely free.

The purpose of the course is to improve the knowledge of one of the most strategic themes for the World’s agenda, African energy transition, facilitating a deeper awareness of the political and diplomatic tools available for the International Community to guide the process of Energy Transition in Africa.

The highlight of GLOBDETA will be the virtual simulation of a multilateral negotiation. The participants will play the role of the delegates from Governments, NGOs and International institutions engaged in a negotiation for a common position within a Conference of Parties (COP).
