FEEM has been carrying out activities in Ravenna since 2012 under the collaboration agreements signed by Eni and the Municipality of Ravenna, activities that are also linked to Eni’s corporate social responsibility and stakeholder engagement in the North Central District. The Foundation supports local entities and institutions to foster the sustainable development of the territory, placing itself among the players in the local and national innovation ecosystem promoting knowledge in all its forms.
In particular, FEEM supports the City of Ravenna in the management and development of the coLABoRA project, a business incubator and coworking space conceived in 2013 and officially launched in 2016. At coLABoRA, FEEM supports freelancers, innovative SMEs and startups in business development, integrating high-level training with mentorship and networking meetings, in partnership with several local and national organizations and companies, including Joule, Eni’s school for enterprise.
Regarding its support to the Municipality of Ravenna, since 2018 FEEM has contributed to the creation of the Observatory on Chemistry in the Province of Ravenna, created with the aim of revitalizing the chemical sector in the area. Since 2021, FEEM has been collaborating in the project for the enhancement of the wild mussel of Marina di Ravenna in order to promote the typical product, the local territory and tourism, and by publishing “La cozza selvaggia di Marina di Ravenna – Il mestiere del cozzaro” (The wild mussel of Marina di Ravenna – The mussel maker’s trade).
There are also several other collaborations with education institutions at all levels, including the University of Bologna. These include the project “Che impresa! Come nasce un’idea imprenditoriale, come la sviluppo, come la racconto” (“What a business! How an entrepreneurial idea is born, how I develop it, how I tell about it”) carried out in 2022 at the Liceo Scientifico G. Ricci Curbastro in Lugo (Ravenna), aimed at developing the entrepreneurial skills of young people, from initial stage to the market, through a learning-by-doing training course.
