Launched in 2006, the Eni-Sustainability project aims at fostering Eni's Sustainability Area on the most relevant social responsibility issues within the energy sector through the transfer of theoretical knowledge and the implementation of feasible tools.

The scientific support foresees a variety of activities concerning:

  • benchmarking on sustainability communication trends, sustainability models and key indicators with a focus on companies operating in the energy sector, particularly on the main Eni’s competitors;
  • state of the art analysis and future directions of sustainability topics,
  • territorial development and cooperation models with a focus on companies operating in the energy sector, particularly on the main Eni’s competitors;
  • advice and support in the institutional sustainability communication and in the drawing up of the 2008 Eni Sustainability Report;
  • development of a model to collect, analyze and incorporate the expectations of stakeholders in Eni’s sustainability strategies;
  • research and development of suitable tools for the assessment of the intangible assets related to sustainability.

Drawing up of analysis documents focusing on the identification of common and best practices, to be used as a decision-making support tool in the activities of sustainability reporting.
Presentation of proposals about the Eni 2008 Sustainability Report structure and contents based on the results of the benchmarking activities and case study analysis.
Support to text drafting, and to data and statistic representations elaboration during the drawing up of the Eni’s Sustainability Report.
