FEEM-IEFE seminar: “Are European Natural Gas Prices Converging? An Analysis for Industrial Consumers”
Less than a minute read
The European Union is devoting considerable effort to create a single EU gas market through a series of Directives and regulations. But has the new regulatory framework been successful so far? This is the focus of the seminar by Caterina Miriello, IEFE Bocconi; Michele Polo, eni Chair in Energy Markets and IEFE, who will present the empirical results of an investigation on the convergence of prices paid by industrial consumers for natural gas provision in a selection of European countries, assuming that a higher price convergence among countries points to a higher degree of market integration.
