The World Water Development Report (WWDR) 2018 by the UNESCO World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP) is entitled “Nature-based solutions for water” and will be launched at the 8th World Water Forum in Brasilia, Brazil, on March 19.

The 2018 edition of the Report aims at inform policy and decision-makers about the potential of nature-based solutions (NBS) to address contemporary water management challenges across all sectors, and particularly regarding water for agriculture, sustainable cities, disaster risk reduction and improving water quality. On the occasion of the World Water Day (22 March 2018), the Report will be also presented for the first time in Italy – under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic – at the Labirinto d’Acque 2018 (21 – 24 March 2018, Parma). The initiative consists of a series of meetings, seminars, and other events on the theme of water and climate change, where experts will meet to “think about water”, both locally and globally.
