Launch of the LCS-RNet, International Research Network for Low Carbon Societies



Launched at the high-level "Low Carbon Technologies" Forum, organized by the Italian Government, AREA Science Park and the CMCC on April 3-5 on the occasion of the forthcoming Italian G8 Presidency, the LCS-RNet involves selected international research institutes working on low-carbon societies issues from an integrated perspective. 

FEEM participated in the researchers' preparatory meeting for the launch of the LCS-RNet, within which -through the CMCC - FEEM develops the socio-economic scenarios for transition towards a low-carbon world.

The international network aims at facing climate change sharing the most innovative knowledge towards a low carbon society and a low carbon consumption.

LCS-RNet, the International Research Network for Low Carbon Societies, presented in Trieste (April 3-5, 2009), is an international network integrating researches and knowledge from six different countries,  a starting point for a group destined to become more and more numerous, opening its membership to developed and developing countries in order  to integrate opportunities, projects and aspirations.
