FEEM-IEFE seminar on An Empirical Differential Game for Sustainable Forest Management

The researchers from the Group for Research in Decision Analysis of HEC Montréal model the role of the world's forests as a major carbon sink and emitter. They consider two types of agents (forest owners and non-forest owners) and retrieve the cooperative solution for this game, showing in which cases cooperation makes it profitable to abate emissions, to reduce net deforestation, and to do both.
