Deadline for sending the applications at FEEM: June 5th, 2023

Following its long-time tradition of successful international post-graduate and doctoral training, FEEM supports Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral European Fellowships applications.

For the current MSCA Postdoctoral European Fellowships call, FEEM is interested in receiving proposals in the area of:

  • Accounting for Climate-induced International Migration in Integrated Assessment Models: theory and evidence
  • Energy and Climate in the Global North and the Global South
  • The Energy Transition in Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Models with Climate and Finance
  • Green Fiscal Rules and Green Monetary Rules in Climate Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Models
  • Accounting for Transitions in Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Models: Energy and Critical Raw Materials
  • Integrated modelling of climate change adaptation in coastal areas; top-down versus bottom-up approaches
  • Nature-based solutions and social innovations for climate mitigation and adaptation
  • Measuring trade-offs and synergies among and between SDGs and targets of the Agenda 2030
  • Model(s) for the identification of policy drivers and synergies between SDGs and new EU policy initiatives
  • Common Movements of Commodity Prices and the Macroeconomy.
  • Common movement analysis with cointegration and factor models.
  • A monetary policy model for commodity price comovements: an application of Factor-Augmented Structural VAR model
  • Moving Forward Through the Energy Transition: Re-evaluating the Role of Energy Commodity Markets in the Global Economy.
  • Analysing the relationship between energy key-sectors and economic fluctuations in a Global Structural VAR context
  • Economic and climate scenarios with a Global Structural VAR model
  • Investigating the Impacts of Energy Shocks on Energy-intensive Firms.
  • Identify global market shocks (Macro analysis)
  • Assessing the impacts of global market shocks on firms’ performance.
  • Investigating the Impacts of Climate and Energy Decisions on Firms’ performance
  • Measuring the impacts of mitigation, adaptation and intervention strategies on firms’ profitability
  • Measuring the impacts of energy cost impediments on firms’ competitiveness and productivity
  • Micro and/or macroeconomic models to assess the Water-Energy (and Food) nexus in an uncertain framework
  • Decarbonization, renewable resources: microeconomic models for evaluating investments in condition of uncertainty
  • Agent based Models for Environmental Economics and Energy transition
  • Modelling the impact of high VRES penetration, hydrogen and increased frequency of adverse extreme weather events on the European and Italian power and gas systems to define resilient decarbonization strategies
  • Forecasting commodity prices and volatility in illiquid markets
  • Forecasting with panel data with applications to commodity markets
  • Measuring raw materials security: indices and methods
  • Macroeconomic effects of raw materials

FEEM, as Italian host institution, provides support to individual experienced researchers who meet the requirements under the Horizon Europe Programme.

Research proposals entail a period of 12-24 months at FEEM, with reference to the 2023 Call Marie Sklodowska-Curie – Postdoctoral European Fellowships (HORIZON-MSCA-2023-PF-01).

Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must be in possession of PhD and cannot have more than eight years of research experience after PhD, at the time of the deadline of the call (13/09/2023); candidates who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but who have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree are also eligible.
  • Eligible researchers can be of any nationality and must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline (13/09/2023).

  • a detailed curriculum vitae, including the list of publications;
  • an abstract of the research proposal (max 1 page).

The selected candidates will be supported in the development of their project proposals that must be submitted to the European Commission by September 13th, 2023 – h. 17.00 CET.
