REF is developing a model for the natural gas sector. The adequacy is evaluated by deterministic models, while the security is evaluated by a stochastic model. This model is based on the construction of probability distributions for the demand and supply conditions, given the possible realizations of uncertain variables, such as temperatures, thermoelectric generation availability, geopolitical risks.
