The XXII of the Conference of the Parties (COP 22) and the twelfth session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 12) will be held in Bab Ighli, Marrakech, Morocco from 7-18 November 2016.

On 5 October 2016, the threshold for entry into force of the Paris Agreement was achieved. The Paris Agreement will enter into force on 4 November 2016. As a result, the first session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 1) will take place in Marrakech in conjunction with COP 22 and CMP 12. 

Within this framework, FEEM will co-organize these side events:

  • November 10, 2016 session on “Low Carbon Renewable Energy: Lessons from MENA and Latin America Regions.
    Side event organized by the Council on Arab World Relations with Latin America and the Caribbean (CARLAC) and OCP Policy Center. With the participation of Simone Tagliapietra.  
  • November 14, 2016 session on “Urban policies to implement and finance NDCs”.
    Side event organized by FEEM in collaboration with IEFE – Bocconi University . In the Italian Pavilion With the participation of Carlo Carraro.
  • November 14– 16, 2016 session on “Low-Emissions Solutions Conference”.
    Conference organized by the Government of Morocco in collaboration with SDSN, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability). With the participation of Isabella Alloisio.
  • November 14, 2016 session on “International Network on Climate Change Centers of Excellence and Think Tanks (INCCCETT) ”.
    Side Event organized by the Moroccan presidency of COP22 in the Moroccan Pavilion. With the participation of Isabella Alloisio.
  • November 15, 2016 session on “Mitigation Policy Choices and Levels of Effort Side Event”.
    The session organized by RITE, RFF and FEEM in the Japanese Pavilion. With the participation of Lara Aleluia.
  • November 15, 2016 session on “The new challenge of the climate and energy policies integration: the Italian perspective”.
    Side Event organized by the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers in the Italian Pavilion. With the participation of Ramiro Parrado.
