He is completing a PhD in Economics and Statistics at the University of Milan-Bicocca with a thesis on the relationship between the liberalization of the electricity market and the development of clean energy technologies. During his third year of PhD, he was a visiting doctoral student at the Climate Economics Chair in Paris (Institut Louis Bachelier). Matteo obtained a Master’s degree in Economics, Markets, and Management (curriculum Green Economy and Sustainability) at the University of Ferrara. His research interests also include the impact of biofuel production on the grain market. His work at FEEM focuses on micro-econometric analysis of ESG indicators on corporate performance, within the ‘Econometrics of the Energy Transition’ (EET) program.
