Programme director of the Sustainable Mobility (SuMo) research programme at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), Director of the Sustainability Area and of the Observatory on Energy Innovation at the Institute for Competitiveness (I-Com) and Fellow at GREEN the research centre on Geography, Resources, Energy and Environment at Bocconi University, where he has been researching at IEFE since 2003. From 2014 to 2016 he was a non-resident fellow at the Caspian Strategy Institute in Istanbul. His research interests are automotive, sustainable mobility, energy markets, energy and environmental policies. He has been a columnist for Staffetta Quotidiana since 2008, a regular contributor to lavoce.info since 2009, a contributor to Il Foglio since 2017 and deputy editor of Nuova Energia since 2022.
