Nicola Pontarollo

Research Associate


Nicola Pontarollo is researcher at University of Brescia. He holds a PhD in Economics and Finance from the University of Verona. After the doctoral studies he was Assistant professor at Universidad Católica del Norte (Antofagasta, Cile) and Statistical Officert at Joint Research Centre, UE. He was also visitig professor at Universidad de Cuenca (Cuenca, Ecuador) and Suleyman Demirel University (Almaty, Kazakistan).

His main research interests involve regional resilience, subnational economic growth and factors influencing landuse. Recently his research has focused on ““geography of discontent” and subjective well-being. He is specialized in spatial and geostatistical econometrics models.
