FEEM Launches the Food Impacts Initiative (F2I)

FEEM Launches the Food Impacts Initiative (F2I)

We eat in an interconnected planet.
The globalization of markets and the optimization of transport logistics are at the basis of the most important processes of cultural contamination in terms of food tradition, which are in strong and constant growth.
The Food Impacts Initiative project aims at developing proposals that in the short term can identify the numbers of these new markets, and suggest to the various stakeholders the circular economy strategies that are able to balance markets and environmental and social impacts. In F2I food is first of all approached as an energy product, where production and exchange become variables of (circular) economy models. The main objective is enclosed in a key question.
Which technologies and best practices allow global and sustainable food markets?
In the first design phase, the project will explore trade optimisation and new local production technologies.
