European Summer School in Resource and Environmental Economics

European Summer School in Resource and Environmental Economics

Since 2000, the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) has been organizing in co-operation with the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) and the Venice International University (VIU) the "European Summer School in Environmental and Resource Economics", attracting every year young researchers from all over Europe and beyond on European issues of environmental and resource economics.

The Summer School series is addressed to small groups of doctoral and post-doctoral students in environmental and resource economics from all over Europe and beyond. The School has a traditional structure which consists in lectures by professors, PhD students' presentation, reading time, consultation sessions and social events. The specialized topic varies from year to year and reflects issues that are currently lively areas of new research and policy interest. Faculty members are leaders in the field and offer an overall coverage of the specialist area.

The Summer Schools usually take place at the VIU campus on the Island of San Servolo, in Venice, located just in front of Piazza San Marco.
