Education and training

  • Disseminating the culture of Sustainable Development - Educare allo Sviluppo Sostenibile The project consisted in a series of meetings carried out during 2019 with the classes of Istituto Marcelline Tommaseo in Milan. The students completed a survey on sustainability issues and, on the basis of their answers, FEEM organised a series of seminars, on the 2030 Agenda challenges, with the aim to make them think about ways to make their life more sustainable.
  • Teen in Action for Sustainable Development Goals The project is structured on a series of meeting with some students of Milan starting from September 2019, in order to raise their awareness regarding the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. The purpose of the activity is to create a start-up, able to solve a problem considered fundamental (and verifiable in one’s daily life) during the seminars.
  • Summer School on the wellbeing and sustainability of cities The project consists in one week of training, structured on both theoretical lessons and practical activities, aimed to increase students’ competencies on sustainable development and the wellbeing of urban realities.
  • Summer School for regional administrators The project is structured on a full-time training over sustainability-related topics, with classroom lessons and practical assignments/teamwork that regional administrators will have to fulfil during the school course.
Main Results and Outputs
  • Disseminating the culture of Sustainable Development - Educare allo Sviluppo Sostenibile The students engaged in the project have shown a great sensibility to the Agenda issues, which have been described by them with terms such as “hope”, “utopia”, “need”: the new generations seem to fully seize the opportunities, and at the same time to fully understand the delicacy/criticality of the challenges raised by the SDGs.
  • Teen in Action for Sustainable Development Goals Students will develop ideas over possible start-ups able to solve a certain amount of daily and concrete problems linked to the SDGs. The goal is to cover all the topics of the Agenda, and to make them understand the dynamics of the implementation of the sustainability. The students will present works to their classmates, simulating an interview with possible investors.
  • Summer School on the wellbeing and sustainability of cities The participants will attend classes for one week, both at theoretical and practical level thanks to team works and assignments, in order to consolidate their knowledge and skills on sustainability.
  • Summer School for regional administrators The tool elaborated consists of 29 structured lessons ranging from the macro-areas characterizing FEEM’s researches, hence sustainability, energy, environment, to themes connected to digitalization and up to issues related to the soft skills needed for students entering university or the labour market (how to write a resume, create a presentation etc.).
