Alleanza Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile - ASviS

In 2016, ASviS, FGCNI and SDSN Italia – of which FEEM is hosting institution – signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at mobilizing private and public Italian institutions toward collective action to pursue the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on public and company policies.

FEEM cooperates with ASviS by participating in working groups on “Cities and Sustainable Communities (SDG11), “Policy Evaluation Models” - in the framework of the APPS model FEEM is working on modelling Italy's pathway toward the achievement of the SDGs -, on “Sustainable Development Indicators”, “Training on Sustainable Development” and “Advocacy”.

On the occasion of the 2017 ASviS Festival on Sustainable Development, FEEM co-organized the Conference ”Per uno sviluppo sostenibile: il margine che si fa centro: Agenda 2030 della Basilicata”, the event “Genius loci: l’anima di un luogo“ on the identity and cultural heritage of the Basilicata Region as building blocks of the 2030 Agenda at the local level, and the ceremony of the “Youth in Action for SDGs” contest on the ideas of young people below 30 years of age.

The Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS) was established on February 3rd, 2016, upon the initiative of the Unipolis Foundation and the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. Its aim is to raise the awareness of the Italian society, economic stakeholders and institutions about the importance of the Sustainable Development Agenda, and to mobilize them in order to pursue the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), agreed upon by the United Nations.

The Alliance already brings together over 160 of the most important civil society institutions and networks.
