Il legame tra migrazione e ambiente è antico. Migrare per sopravvivere. Migrare temporaneamente o in via definitiva spinti da siccità, inondazioni e rovinosi eventi climatici. Pur trattandosi di una forma conosciuta di migrazione, nuovo è l’interesse nei suoi confronti, cresciuto velocemente nell’ultimo decennio. Equilibri dedica il primo numero del 2017 al tema delle migrazioni indotte dal cambiamento climatico.

The environmental change, migration nexus dates back a long time. Populations migrate to survive. Most population movements triggered by environmental factors such as drought, sea level rise and extreme climate events are of limited duration and cover short distances. Climate-induced migration has become a major concern over the last decade. Equilibri 1.2017 is focused on this new area of research.
