L’Africa sta cambiando: è cresciuta a ritmi impensabili solo pochi anni fa. Nei vari articoli che compongono questo numero il Lettore troverà dati e analisi sulla crescita attuale e quella prevista per i prossimi decenni. In Africa ci sono 54 stati, alcuni molto ricchi di materie prime. L’attenzione degli analisti si rivolge in particolare a questi e ai rapporti tra il continente africano e i cosiddetti BRICS. Lo sviluppo di un paese non è mai lineare, e ancor meno lo è quello di un continente. Solo il tempo potrà dirci quale sarà il futuro dell’Africa.

Africa is changing. It has been growing at a rate unthinkable only a few years ago. The articles included in this issue provide data and analyses on the present growth and on the development projected for the next decades. In Africa there are 54 states, some of which are very rich in natural resources. The analysts focus on these and on the relationship between the African continent and the so-called BRICS. The growth of a country is never straightforward,  and only time will say where Africa is really heading for.
