Mike Young, one of Australia’s leading water economists and Executive Director of the University of Adelaide’s Environment Institute, will give a lecture on the tradability of water entitlement and allocation systems in his country. Prof. Young will show how this framework can lead to a suite of institutional arrangements promoting both investments and the resolution of environmental and water scarcity problems, while pointing out its potential shortcomings.
