On April 15, 2010, FEEM and the Fondazione Giorgio Cini launched the International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG), an important joint initiative in the field of climate change science and policy. On the same occasion, the Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) announced the launch of its activities in Venice, marking the start of a strict collaboration between FEEM, ICCG and CPI, in conjunction with the opening of FEEM and ICCG new offices on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice.
The Launch Event gathered a distinguished group of experts from the policy and research community to discuss and provide insights on the dynamics behind the negotiations in Copenhagen, the consequences for the public sector, and the way ahead. Some of these experts were interviewed to reflect key perspectives on post Copenhagen climate policies from an Italian, EC and international point of view.
We here report interviews delivered by Corrado Clini, General Director of the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea, Jos Delbeke, Director General, DG Climate Action – European Commission and Thomas Heller, Climate Policy Initiative Executive Director.
