Profile

Marta Tuninetti is a researcher in the field of water resources and food security. She holds her Ph.D. from Politecnico di Torino in 2018. She was a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Virginia (USA) and at the University College London (UK). She was a junior lecturer in the course of Hydrology in the MSc of Civil Engineering at PoliTO.

She joined FEEM in April 2021 in the context of the LEAP-RE project as an expert of the Water-Food nexus modelling in agriculture. She is investigating innovative solutions to sustainably boost food production in Sub-Saharan Africa.

At present, she is also a post-doc researcher at Politecnico di Torino. She is doing research on sustainable and nutrient diets to improve the shape of the global food system, also under scenarios of climate change.
