Raimondi Pier Paolo

Pier Paolo is Junior Researcher at the Future Energy Program (FEP) at FEEM. Currently, he is conducting research on the Sino-Russia energy relations in Central Asia in order to analyze the potential developments of cooperation and conflict among two countries engaged in an ongoing energy competition in the region.
Pier Paolo holds a Masters in International Relations from Università degli Studi of Milan where he wrote a thesis entitled “Russian Energy Politics with China: Temporary ‘axis of convenience’ or starting point for a ‘strategic partnership’?”. He holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science from the same University where he wrote a thesis entitled “The Pivot of Russia Towards Asia: What are the implications for Chinese relations according to the realist and neo-institution theory?”.
During his studies, he interned at a Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, and then worked for a Permanent Mission to International Organizations in Vienna, where he closely followed the work of the Organization for Security and Cooperation for Europe (OSCE).
