Annalisa Percoco has taken an Arts degree (cum laude) at the University of Basilicata, with a dissertation on Local development and cultural heritage.
In 2008 she has taken her Phd in Economic Geography at the University of Naples “l’Orientale”, with  a dissertation on urban and territorial evolution of Policoro, from Land Reform up to now.
In 2006 she has been Geography Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Basilicata. 
From 2003 up to now she is Assistant Professor at the University of Basilicata.
Her major research subjects are: Mezzogiorno and underdevelopment; local development in Mezzogiorno and Basilicata;  Structural Funds planning in Mezzogiorno; urban framework in Basilicata; tourism and rural landscape; sustainable exploitation of cultural and natural reasources of Basilicata.
At the present she is Lecturer at the University of Basilicata, headquarters of Matera
She also is research fellow on Sustainable Tourism at the FEEM in Viggiano.
She has attended many conferences as speaker.
