Luca Farinola, born in Milan in 1973, is Chief Financial Officer and Human Resources Manager at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) since 2015 (formerly Head of FEEM’s Administration from 2008 until 2014). In his role, he reports to the Executive Director, and is responsible for planning and budget control, accounting management, supervision and coordination of the projects and fund-raising office, facilities management, finance and human resources at FEEM.
He also serves as Managing Director and member of the Board of FEEM Servizi Srl, the wholly owned subsidiary of FEEM devoted to applied research and consulting.
He is member of the Executive Board of the International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG) with main offices in Venice.
From 2008 to 2015 he was member of the FEEM Surveillance Body (Organismo di Vigilanza) established in compliance with the Legislative Decree 231/2001 regulating the administrative responsibility of companies and bodies.
From 2006 to 2008 he was Programme Manager of one of FEEM’s Research Programmes, and worked as consultant on corporate governance within the “Eni Sustainability Project” launched by Eni.
Graduated cum laude in Political Sciences, after serving as risk analyst for the Middle East, North and Sub-Saharan Africa for Eni (former Agip, now E&P division) he joined FEEM in 2000 as senior researcher, contributing to several studies and working papers published in international peer-reviewed journals. His research interests mainly focused on political risk, corporate governance, governance of the not-for-profit organisations.
