Falchetta Giacomo

Giacomo joined FEEM as a Researcher in the Future Energy Program (FEP) in November 2017. An environmental economist by training, Giacomo is currently carrying out applied research on the spatial dynamics of access to electricity and on the energy-water-climate change nexus in Sub-Saharan Africa. In the meantime, he is a PhD candidate at the Catholic University of Milan.

He holds an MSc. in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc. in Economics and Social Sciences from the trilingual Free University of Bolzano-Bozen.

As an economist with robust analytical skills and a multidisciplinary background, Giacomo’s interest for the nexus between energy access, development, and climate impact stem from his deeply rooted connection to the natural environment and his eagerness to provide a contribution to society’s capacity to develop itself while safeguarding it.
