Benedetta Camilli

Benedetta Camilli is an agronomist, expert in sustainable agriculture, community-based ecosystem service management, agricultural value chains and climate change adaptation in small-holder contexts. She holds an International PhD in Agronomy on management of agricultural anthropogenic soils affected by drought, from the University of Palermo. Since 2009 she has worked in Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and Middle East as a technical expert, project manager and policy advisor for bilateral and multilateral international and non-governmental organizations, research and government agencies such as the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Since 2020 she works as research fellow at FEEM.
