Linda Arata is a post-doc at the Agricultural and Food Economics Department at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza. She holds a double degree at the Università Cattolica and the Wageningen University and a PhD in Agricultural Economics at Università Cattolica. Her research concerns modelling farmer behaviour under price and yield uncertainty by means of farm-level mathematical programming models. She also employed matching analysis to assess the effects of the agri-environmental measures supported by the EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) on farmer technical and economic performances. She has been hired as a consultant at FAO for a project forecasting food production at world level in the long run. Recently she has been working on the economic evaluation of environmental goods supported by the CAP by applying discrete choice modelling techniques. Since July 2018 she collaborates with FEEM within the Firms And Cities Towards Sustainability Programme (FACTS).
