From September 19 to September 24, 2011, the University of Padua in cooperation with the International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG), and with the collaboration of the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, organize the Summer School on "International and European Law & Policy on Investments and Environment. The Energy Challenge" (IELPIE).

The Summer School aims at offering an in-depth view on the multifaceted legal and economic aspects related to international investments and their environmental impact.

IELPIE 2nd edition is focused on green energy and is addressed to holders of three-year University degrees in Law, Economics and Political Science and all other subjects related to the School, as well as researchers, civil servants, internationally operating law firms and entreprises.

The program comprises ten lectures held by world-wide renowned specialists, eight workshops on selected themes and a final round table. The Summer School is housed in the enchanting San Servolo Island, Venice, and in the Faculty of Law of the University of Padua, located in the magnificent Palazzo del Bò.

The deadline for application is June 20th, 2011 (12 am).
