Release of the report of the "International Workshop on Research, Development and Demonstration to Enhance the Role of Nuclear Energy in Meeting Climate and Energy Challenges"



The report of the "International Workshop on Research, Development and Demonstration to Enhance the Role of Nuclear Energy in Meeting Climate and Energy Challenges" is now available.

The report illustrates the main findings of the workshop, held in Venice on April 7-8, 2011, and organized by the ICARUS project at FEEM jointly with the Belfer Center of the Harvard Kennedy School, USA, and the ICCG. The workshop  gathered international leading experts on nuclear technologies to present and discuss the results of an expert elicitation survey conducted in the USA and Europe on the future of nucler energy, with a focus on research, development and demonstration needs, international cooperation, future costs and deployment scenarios. The report is co-authored by FEEM senior researchers Valentina Bosetti, leader of the ICARUS project, and Michela Catenacci.
