Water pricing and tariffs pursue multiple policy goals, seemingly at odds but reconcilable in principle: water use and allocation efficiency, financial viability, and social equity.

On June 8, 2012, in Venice, FEEM organizes in cooperation with The Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) a workshop that will address the legal, administrative and economic challenges of ‘getting the price right’ in Italy. The workshop is a satellite event of the European Green Week  2012 on “Water”.
