On May 18, 2011, Prof. Bronwyn Hall, University of California, Berkeley, USA and University of Maastricht, will give a lecture at Ca’ Foscari University on "Patent protection and technology transfer – help or hindrance?". Prof. Bronwyn Hall is a leading scientist in the economics of innovation and her research includes comparative analysis of the U.S. and European patent systems, the use of patent citation data for the valuation of intangible -namely knowledge – assets, and comparative firm-level investment and innovation studies, covering the analysis of technology policies such as R&D subsidies and tax incentives. The lecture will be introduced by Prof. Carlo Carraro, Chairman of FEEM Scientific Advisory Board and President of Ca’ Foscari University.
