Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) and Sustainable Development Goals Center for Africa (SDGC/A) – an international organization supporting governments, civil society, businesses and academic institutions to achieve Agenda 2030’s goals in Africa – on july 11th 2019 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Milan.
The MoU promotes a multi-year partnership for the realization of research programs, counseling and capacity building development for African governments especially upon the study of energy markets.
Moreover, FEEM – SDGC/A agreement plans joint studies about socio-economic African dimension with a special focus on the evaluation of national and regional development plans, energy systems analysis at a national level and supply chain, management of natural resources (especially water).
The MoU includes joint communication actions for a scientific delivery of the main research outputs achieved. Considered the global ongoing health emergency, FEEM and SDGC/A realized a short video series on Covid-19 prevention in Africa.
The videos – immediately available and realized in three languages (English, French and Portuguese) – are focused on themes related to main hygiene and social rules able to limit viral infections. In detail, the videos explore themes as: Covid-19 prevention in Africa; virus characteristics; channel of contagion; symptoms; clinical course and target groups; personal hygiene best practices; the importance of home hygiene; hygiene practices for houses; hygiene practices in social contexts; homemade cleaning solutions; etc.
In agreement with SDGC/A, the videos will be broadcasted on local African TV networks, the most popular social networks as Facebook and Instagram, new social networks as TikTok, and instant messaging platforms as Whatsapp. FEEM will broadcast the videos on its web site, YouTube channel and official social medias.
