FEEM Seminar on the relationship between innovation and productivity among firms

Professor Bronwyn H. Hall from the University of Maastricht and University of California, Berkeley presents a study showing that product innovation does have substantial positive impacts on revenue productivity, while the impact of process innovation appears to be more ambiguous. The latter conclusion suggests substantial measurement error in the innovation indicators currently in use, or market power on the part of firms.
