FEEM seminar on Socio-Economic and Spatial Changes since the late 1970s and their Relation to Vulnerability from Natural Disasters



Ebru A. Gencer, Columbia University portrays the inter-regional polarization and inequality, the changes in the urban form and inter-urban inequality, as well as the informational and technological changes and the disasters occurring at global level since the late 70s. She then discusses the outcomes of her research and its implications for the relationship between globalization and vulnerability from natural disasters.
