This week, the FEEM-IEFE joint seminar on "Optimal Spatial Pricing and its Impact on Renewable Generation in Great Britain" will address an important area of current policy concerns, given the ambitious targets for growth in renewable energy set by current European climate policies and the growing widespread concern about energy security. The research findings by Matteo Di Castelnuovo (IEFE – Bocconi University) will indeed illustrate how different forms of spatial pricing may affect renewable technologies, with regard to both their investment and operating decisions, addressing also their regulatory and policy implications with a  focus on the British electricity market.
