FEEM at the Milan’s Festival of Human Rights

The Milan's Festival of Human Rights (20 - 24 March 2018) is organised by Reset-Diritti Umani, an Italian non-profit association aimed to spread both knowledge and a culture of human rights through this festival and other initiatives.

The festival will use different forms of expression such as films, documentaries, debates, expert testimonies, music and graphics to reach out to large audience. The formats planned for the six days of events have been studied to achieve the best possible interaction with students from middle schools, high schools and universities. Documentaries and films have been chosen to interest the widest possible audiences and there will be no lack of debates with experts and academics.

Within its activities on the cross-cutting theme on climate migrations, FEEM will take part in the festival. Cristina Cattaneo, FEEM's senior researcher, will show recent findings from her latest studies. The talk will focus on the empirical evidence on the climate migration nexus and will also introduce some impacts of climate migrants in destination countries as well as implications for origin countries, more specifically as far as the climate-migration-conflict nexus is concerned.
