Europe Needs to Join Forces to Remain a Global Power in Industrial Policy



On 19 February France and Germany launched a manifesto for a European industrial policy adapted to the 21st century, sparking lively debate across the continent. The manifesto is based on a simple idea: in a context of increasing international competition, Europe must join forces to remain a global industrial and manufacturing power.

In his commentary in the French daily “Le Monde”, FEEM researcher Simone Tagliapietra explains why this is so.
