The IEW will take place on July 6th - 8th, 2011.

Program Committee:

In 2011 the International Energy Workshop will celebrate its 30th anniversary and will be held at Stanford University, CA, USA, where the first meeting was organised in 1981.

The International Energy Workshop - IEW is an informal network of analysts actively working on international energy issues. The IEW provides a venue for scholars and researchers to compare quantitative energy projections and to analyse the interrelationship between climate change and energy.

Researchers and practitioners in developed and developing countries are invited to submit original papers with new and innovative results on scientific or practical experiences on the economics of energy and climate change. As is customary for the IEW, papers should be quantitative and rigorous. A particular emphasis will be given to the following main topics:

  • Climate change – mitigation and adaptation
  • Economics of low-carbon technologies
  • Energy and transport sector modelling
  • Energy and economic growth in Asia

Selected papers will be presented and discussed in thematic sessions, circulated during the meeting and also posted at the meeting website.

Full papers or long abstracts (minimum 1000 words) in .pdf version should be submitted by e-mail to before February 15th, 2011.

For further information about how to submit a paper please visit the IEW website.
